Data Retention Policy

This policy explains how long A. Albert Memories & Media LLC keeps different categories of personal information in Shelf Talk AI Reads.

1. Active Accounts

We keep your account, profile, shelves, and content for as long as your account is active, so we can provide the service.

2. After Deletion

• Profile, shelves, reviews, comments, uploaded files, and preferences: deleted from active systems within 30 days of your account-deletion request.
• Backups: encrypted backups are rotated on a rolling schedule; residual copies age out within 90 days.
• Moderation records: summaries of policy violations and safety actions may be retained up to 24 months to prevent evasion.
• Legal, tax, and safety logs: retained only as long as required by applicable law (typically up to 7 years for tax records).

3. AI Conversation History

Chats with our AI assistant are stored so you can revisit them and so we can maintain context across sessions. You can delete individual conversations at any time; all conversations are removed when your account is deleted.

4. Analytics & Diagnostic Data

Aggregate analytics and crash / error logs are retained for up to 24 months and are not linked to individual accounts after that period.
