Account Deletion Policy

You can permanently delete your Shelf Talk AI Reads account at any time. This action is irreversible.

1. How to Delete Your Account

1. Open Profile.
2. Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Type DELETE to confirm and re-enter your password.
5. Tap Permanently delete.

Your active session is signed out immediately after confirmation.

2. What Happens

• Your authentication record is deleted, so you cannot sign back into the same account.
• Your profile, shelves, reviews, comments, uploads, AI conversations, and preferences are permanently removed from active systems.
• Community references to your username become anonymized. Public posts you authored may retain the content but not your identity, unless deletion is required by law.

3. What is Retained

See our Data Retention Policy. In short: encrypted backups age out within 90 days; safety and legal records are retained only as long as required.

4. Alternatives

If you don't want a permanent deletion, you can instead:

• Sign out — your data remains available when you return.
• Change your email or password from Profile settings.
• Disconnect specific integrations from Connected Accounts.

5. Deletion Requested by Email

If you cannot access the App, email info@aalbertmemories.com from the address on your account. We will verify your identity before deleting.
